Liverpool forward Andy Carroll could make a surprise debut against West Ham United, when the two sides meet in a Premier League encounter on Sunday.The 22-year-old plied his trade at Newcastle United for four-and-a-half years before making a record breaking move to Merseyside, as his transfer is widely thought to be owing to a record £35 million deal between the two clubs.
And the hitman made a move to join the Reds in January, with a thigh injury having curtainled him in the recent past.
Now The Mirror reports that the young forward's progress from injury has been so swift that he could even make a debut against West Ham.
Carroll's transfer ranks as the eighth most expensive move of all time, and the costliest one involving a British player.
